Me & others

Background: Nowadays a lot of young people feel lack of real life experience when graduating from high schools or starting their studies in universities. One of the reasons to that is that formal education frequently fails to deliver skills that are important for employment. Youth exchange “Me and others” focuses of developing intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligences.

What do we exchange? With this project we want to share knowledge by giving an opportunity to learn and improve intrapersonal life skills, like self-awareness, self-control, self-esteem, self-respect and self-reflection and interpersonal such as effective communication, cooperation, teamwork and problem solving abilities, respect of similarities and differences, appreciation, empathy, trust and love.

Learning outcomes: Within 9 days of the project we will try to help participants to develop social and communication skills, give space to get practical knowledge, learn how to build positive relationship with yourself and others, get to know difference between intrapersonal and interpersonal communication, realize influence of relationship on one’s quality life, understand how to defend your personal opinion under group tension, increase empathy towards disadvantaged social groups – all contributing to self-development.

Who is this project designed for? Young people that are still looking for their life path ways! Project will be based on non-formal and experiential education, group work, discussions, simulation games, debates, etc. Working programme will cover such topics like public speaking, debating skills, presentation skills, conflict-management, intercultural learning and others. Participants will get familiarized with Erasmus+ programme, its objectives and opportunities for youth.
