Online video lectures on rapid societal changes
Recent rapid societal changes are taking place globally that affect all aspects of people’s lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rapid societal changes are changes in human interactions and relationships that transform cultural and social institutions. Recently such changes can occur over a short period of time and often have profound and long-term consequences for society. Well-known examples of such change have resulted from social movements in civil rights, women’s rights, and minority rights, to name just a few. Relationships have changed, institutions have changed, and cultural norms have changed as a result of these social change movements.
Throughout May 2020, ICRP’s series of online video lectures hosts experts of various fields who provide overview of recent events, new approaches and core concepts having an impact on our lives due to changes regarding COVID-19 by drawing attention on examples from various fields and regions. The lectures cover human rights issues, psychosocial disturbances, the changing role of media, new digital educational methods as well as predictions for the post-pandemic economy and international order.
Attending the webinars is easy and free of charge, however registration is mandatory.

Trupti V. Diggikar is a political scientist and journalist from Aurangabad, India. Currently she is a National News Deskhead at AM News, a satellite news channel in Marathi language. She is also a Visiting Faculty at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.

FEDERICO GAVIANO | Fake news and the changing role of media
Federico Gaviano Youth Worker and Project Manager working for the ICRP’s partner NGO, TDM 2000 in Italy. He is also an international freelance trainer with non-formal education working mostly on the topics of Human Rights Education, Social Inclusion and Active Participation. A member of the Italian Journalist Corporation, since 2004 he has worked as freelance journalist for different local and national newspapers.

PAATA ALAVERDASHVILI | Mental health and well-being: impacts of COVID-19
Paata Alaverdashvili is a consciousness and mindfulness practitioner from Georgia. Having an educational background in psychological and mental health studies currently works with groups of young people providing support for personal development work. His topical focus is mindfulness, consciousness and gratitude work, meaningful and authentic communication. He is also a peace and conflict consultant and facilitates awareness process about conflict and its transformation work.

DIJANA PUSKAR, MILISAV MILINKOVIC, ANTONIO P. MARTIS | Digital education after 2020
Dijana Puskar is a project coordinator, youth worker and trainer in non-formal education with over 20 years of experience in working with youth, public institution and business sector in Serbia. In the last 4 years she has been actively working on the promotion of interreligious dialogue and human rights education by creating new board games and new educational tools. Dijana is the author and coordinator of the project “Youth Online Learning Opportunities (YOLO).”
Milisav Milinkovic has 15 years of working experience in civil society and public sector, working with media, adults, youth and other target groups in the fields of communication, HR management, education, international youth work and project cycle management. He has extensive experience in creating policies, strategies and action plans for governmental and nongovernmental bodies and organizations and worked as an expert consultant for City Administration of Sport and Youth in Novi Sad, Serbia and for provincial secretariats as well. Milisav coordinated the implementation of a large number of projects for civil society clients, mainly in the fields of youth, human rights and social protection.
Antonio P. Martis is employed by ICRP’s partner organisation in Italy, TDM 2000. He works as a project manager assistant and coordinator of international projects. He is also a freelance trainer in the youth field. He runs training on communication, media literacy, digital media, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, active citizenship, volunteering. He is part of the pool of trainers of the Italian National Agency in the TEC trainings for volunteers hosted in Italy within European Solidarity Corps programme.

PETER K. ZACHAR | An unprecedented global economic crisis
Dr. Peter K. Zachar is an associate professor and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Public Governance and International Studies at the National University of Public Service. His research field is focusing on international and Hungarian history of the 19th and 20th centuries. He is also a member of the National Advisory Board of the Association of Christian Intellectuals. Dr. Zachar is a member of the ICRP’s Advisory Board.

DAVID MORRIS | Post-COVID-19 international order
David Morris is an international diplomat, currently based in Beijing representing the Pacific Islands Forum, the inter-governmental organisation of the eighteen nations of Oceania, and head of the Pacific Islands Trade and Investment Commission in China. He is an Adviser to the Sustainable Business Network of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and an Observer at the 2018 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). David served as an Australian diplomat in Hungary and Ireland, providing analysis of the Central European transition, Balkan wars, Northern Ireland peace process and European integration. He is a member of the ICRP’s Advisory Board.
Interactive lectures
The duration of the lectures is approximately 40-50 minutes, including Q&A. Registered participants have the chance to submit their questions to the presenters at registration. Selected questions will be answered by the presenters at the end of each lecture.
Conditions for participation
Attending the webinars can be easy and free of charge, however registration is mandatory. The webinars can be attended through Zoom. The Zoom access link is provided after registration. 25 viewers are allowed to attend the lecture live.
