Mental health and coping during pandemic

The project is designed to implement mobility of youth workers-Training course. Specifically, under this mobility from 26/06/2021 to 03/07/2021 in Łódź-Poland we will include 24 youth workers from 7 different countries. The project consisted of a Youth Workers Mobility dedicated to mental health workers and aiming to develop competencies in using non-formal education methods for the promotion of youth mental health.

The overall aim of the project is Competence Development of Youth Workers, Youth Trainers and Volunteers in order to promote the mental health of the young people through their professional (youth training/youth work) and volunteering services. This way, the youth professionals would be able to reach the following objectives of the project:

  • To support the development of healthy youth identity through youth work, youth training and volunteering especially in Coronavirus crises;
  • To prevent potential mental health issues among their target group and to ask for support from other specialists
  • To promote mental wellbeing among young people, through strategies for the enhancement and promotion of mental health and the dissemination at European level of knowledge and information for the prevention of mental disorders;
  • To increase the capacity of partner organisations to address the mental health educational needs of young people in their communities during pandemic;
  • To facilitate the use of the mental health education tools by youth workers around Europe;
  • To provide a set of knowledge and skills to young workers so as to enable them to work in multidisciplinary teams in the network with health professionals, bringing in very institutionalized contexts, tools and practices of education non-formal in supporting young people with mental illness.

 

Profile of participants

The training will be attended by 24 participants from 7 different countries: Poland, Serbia, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, Macedonia, Turkey. 3 participants per partner organization

 

Requirements

  • aged 18+ (participants who do not meet this criteria In September 2020 cannot be accepted);
  • youth workers;
  • experience in youth work;
  • good knowledge of English
