Building peace through inclusion

Project description:

The youth exchange “Building peace through inclusion” will take place in the island of San Simon in Galicia (North-West of Spain). This project will involve 36 youngsters from six different countries (Spain, Turkey, Serbia, Hungary, Greece and Germany).
The aim of the youth exchange is to provide the youngsters with knowledge, skills and new approaches to social action, as well as to help them to get the skills and competences that will enable them to raise awareness in their social context about refugees and promote the deconstruction of racist and xenophobic ideas that complicate social inclusion and peaceful coexistence in our countries.
Participants will be encouraged to reflect and discuss the social realities in their countries. They will cooperate in the creation of possible solutions to be implemented in the heart of their local communities in order to tackle the issue of intolerance towards immigrants and/or refugees while being in an intercultural environment and exchanging cultural experiences.’
