Equality timeline

Very often we are witnesses if violation and non respect of human rights and freedom, unequality in today society of globalization but also very often we are not aware of it, especially young peple who are new generation and who dont recognize violation of human rights as a one of most important issues with which we are dealing today. Also, very often we dont know how to react, how to fight for protection of human rights, not only for the others but also for ourselves, which argument to use, which institutions to contact, how to prevent and stop violation of human rights. Because of this reasons, today we can see ignorance of the problem in all our countries which results with radicalization of young people and society in general. Because of all this reasons we decided to prepare this project proposal with which we see us, young people as those people who should start to work on changes of society on our local, national and international level. Aware that we are all different regarding on nationality, religion, kulture, habbits, but we believe that we can create common solutions for problems with which we are dealing and that by implementation of those solutions we can change public awareness about protection of human rights and equality and also that we can change our society which is not on very high level when we talk about protection of human rights. We can create solution which will lead us to Europe United in diversity and Europe which will provie all citizens with equal rights and equal opportunities regardless on all differences between us.
Through this project, we want, by learning from each other and creating common solutions, motivate young people on critical thinking and raise awareness of youth about inequality in todays world, especially in countries who are involved in this project. We want to raise awareness about importance of promotion of protection of human rights as a fundamental European values which define us as a humans but also as a Europeans. Beside that, through active involvement of youth in democratic life and active citizenship, we want to empower them with tools and methods which can be used in order to make impract on our local level but also regional, national and European level and thorugh concrete actions make impact on raising awareness of our societies. Also, through activities which young people will participate in this project, we want to empower and motivate them to work on prevention of radicalization of youth, especially in rural and small areas. Very important goal of this activities is intercultural and international learning which will provide young people with opportunity to make their view wider and gain experience of working in internaitonal environment.

The objectives of this project are: All objectives of the project are directly connected with objectives of Erasmus+ programme,  especially KA1 but also with Europe 2020. strategy related with social exclusion and also through promotion of active citizenship, equality and law, with ET 2020. Framework for European cooperation in education and training.
Though non formal education, discussions, debates, presentations, analysis, simulations, meetings with decision makers and fighters for protection of human rights but also with concrete actions, we want to empower youth to participate in promotion and protection of human rights and equality against all inequalities which we can see more and more often in Europe today. With this project we also want to make impact and prevent radicalization of youth but also help them to develop their critical thinking and not consider only stories which media is serving to them but also to check always “both sides of medal”. Youth today should have opportunity to meet other cultures, countries, history in order to be aware how long it took through history to have rights which we all have today and exactly that will motivate them to proceed “fight” for human rights and proceed with extension of this historical timeline of protection of human rights and equality.

Participants on this project: Participants will be mostly young people who never before participated in Erasmus+ activities, especially young people from small cities and areas who are not well informed about chances which Erasmus+ providing to young people if they are not students (that will not exclude students from chance to participate). In order to reach those young people, project will be promoted exactly in those areas in order to reach those young people. Also, youth who are motivated to participate in Erasmus+ activities but also to become active citizens and activate themselves in active citizenship through concrete actions with which they will make impact and changes in their local societies when it comes to protection of human rights, equality and promotion of protection of human rights. Also, one of criteria will be interest of potential participants for the topic of the project but also ability to participate in all phases of the project, not only main activity. As during the project participants will go from history of protection of human rights to practical examples of concrete actions which they will be able to organize in their local communities after the project, it is very important that they are ready to participate in all phases, from preparation of participants and activities, homework which they will have before main activity, presentations which they should prepare for the main activity through participation in main activity and implementation of what they learnt during the dissemination activities which they will organize with help and support of partner organization from their country in order to use results of the project in their countries but also wider.
