No Mate in Hate

The main topic of the project „No Mate in Hate” are human rights and „hate-speech” phenomena. Nowadays, more than ever, social media plays a very important role in our lives with a significant impact on our interpersonal and social relations. Unfortunately, very often we let ourselves to be fooled by apparent anonymity in the internet. The growing phenomena of „hate-speech” has been observed for years mostly in internet. The lack of real contact to the conversationalist deprives us of a natural empathy to another person. The human rights are “the basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled”. But the concept and the primary declaration of human rights has been established in the times when the modern media did not exist. During the youth exchange we will focus together in the international environment on the concept of human rights and all it’s nowadays „friend and foes” with a particular attention to the role of internet and social media.

During the 7-days programme of the mobility participants will be included in different workshops and activities relevant for the main subject-matter of the project. The facilitators team will use interesting non-formal learning methods adequate to the project topic and the profile of participants. Apart from that, the participants will take part in many activities, both theoretical and practical:
• presentations, brainstorming, workshops and discussions,
• orienteering game in Zakopane,
• language animations, ice braking games,
• trip to the mountains or sightseeing tour – depending on the weather conditions,
• national evenings and group presentations as a support to international education of the participants.
