Save our stories: Chapter 2

Project description: Whole history of human being, stories or narratives have been shared in every culture as a means of entertainment, education, cultural preservation and instilling moral values. Every country has its own stories, epos, fairytales that describe national history in an artistic way. Unfortunately, with the world fast development and usage of digital sources modern generations, especially young people, tend to forget these simple basics. This project aims making national legends more valuable among the modern society.
Participants as a homework will make a research, speak with old people in their communities, dig into the culture, collect old stories and this will be the first step to know as many forgotten stories as possible. They will bring these stories to the project and share them with other youngsters. By sharing the real deep stories from their countries, participants will get to know more about the other folklore and maybe change opinion if they had some stereotypes. These stories will be just the base for participants to go deeper in the storytelling. This youth exchange will be an opportunity to mix their stories and create a totally new story with elements from national stories.
On the last days this story will be turned into a film, so participants will have a chance to experience the role of a script writer, camera operator, costume designer, music manager, film editor, artist, technician and many other roles. This film will be a final product that will be spread via different online channels in all participating countries.
