Vision of Europe through the eyes of young people from the countries of Visegrad Group
Context and summary of the project: Young people from Central Europe are no longer invisible. They are advisors of heads of offices of ministers, prime ministers and presidents, work for the world’s think tanks, reach for a significant position in the European institutions and indigenous political parties. There are many youth organisations in the V4 countries, and these organisations should do their best to help these young people increase their role in international policy in the region. It is important to support young people from the V4 countries in their activities and help them to design and deliver their opinions on topics important to them. This is definitely an area in which youth organisations should unify their efforts and start close cooperation in activities supporting international activity of young people from the V4 countries.
The project activities are aimed at giving young people from the V4 countries an opportunity and space to give their opinion and voice internationally by debate and discussion panel during a big international event (XII. Economic Forum of Young Leaders). We also plan to prepare a brochure which contains the opinion of young people about the issues that are important for them. This brochure will be distributed in all over Europe. The organisations participating in this project in their daily activities are focusing on supporting responsible citizenship activities of young people, so the project is an occasion to upgrade existing practices by gathering different organisations in one action – giving young people opportunity to work together on the development of a joint opinion and present this opinion to wide, international audience.
